Do you know what kind of PSI the John Guest valves operate at? As far as I know they're designed specifically for things like beverage units which presumably operate at a much higher PSI than a peristaltic pump. I'll get some John Guest check valves locally if they are appropriate for the application (i.e. don't put so much strain on the pump that they either cause too much back pressure and somehow damage the pump, or drop the flow rate to incredibly slow levels). But I can't find anything about the specs on John Guest's site.
