The market has slowed down a lot in Edmonton, but I'm not sure about Calgary.
About 3 years ago when the market was just starting to heat up in Edmonton I couldn't sell my condo for the life of me. After 8 months I finally got a better Realtor who let me know that I was overpriced. The condo above mine sold for 91K and I originally had mine listed for (what I thought was reasonable) 89K. I was able to sell it (almost a year later after first listing it) for 73k

My condo was fully renovated but because it was a basement suite with one bedroom I had to sell for 20k less then my neighbours one floor up from me
