Agreed, Titus, but that is the way business is.

No one is going to bargain over a $50.00 item, but if I am buying a $1500.00 tank and stand I am going to shop around. In fact for any item over a couple of hundred dollars I bargain with the retailer (whether it is fish stuff, household appliances or whatever). Obviously this is going to cut aquarium retailers' margins pretty thin. I wouldn't want to be in that business.

As far as I can see between the huge (internet) mail order chains and the pet superstores, ordinary retailers are gonna get squeezed. Especially when advanced/knowledgeable hobbyists are fully aware they can buy online for a fraction of the retail price.

Anyway that is the capitalist system and for better or worse, we are stuck with it.
