The standard would be that size. There are three types of labradoodles depending on the size of poodle mixed in.

We are getting a medium multigen Australian and have been told to expect a dog around 17 inches at the shoulder and 30 lb. Both parents are smaller mediums.

I'd be concerned getting a F1 mixed between a very small of a poodle and a lab. Some breeders will do this using artificial insemination. I'd worry about genetic problems mixing dogs that different in size.
