I have found it very easy. I originally bought it on a rock at a LFS. It soon covered the entire rock. Then it sent out what you might call runners. These runners anchored to other rocks, and even the glass. There are now bits of it all over Calgary. I am not certain about this, but it seems to prefer lower light levels. I have two colonies in the same tank, and the one that is six inches lower down appears to be doing better. There is certainly much greater extension. My two cents worth anyway.
