I had the same problem when I had to crank up my calcium reactor, even when I dosed kalk at night.
I fixed it by unplugging the probe that was monitoring the display tank (what I don't know won't hurt me
).
I did keep a very careful check on all the tanks inhabitants but nothing seemed unduly stressed so I quit worrying about it
