Well I just turned 30 and I've noticed a few things:
- Most people under 24 look young to me, and to them I know they mostly think 30 is old. On the flip side most people over 40 want to be 30 again.
- Now that I am 30 it doesn't seem so old after all
- People generally respect me more.
- People on TV and in ads who portray parents don't look old to me anymore
Is it just me or have others noticed this as well?
I look young for my age (most people think I'm closer to 25 then 30) but I got thinking about this last month when my boyfriends sister (who turned 22 in Nov. and forgot I was turning 30 in Dec.) was talking about her regular customers at the restaurant she works at, and how these "old" guys keep flirting with her. When my boyfriend (her brother) asked how old are these guys (I thought she was going to say around 50) she responded "like 30 or something"

Needless to say my boyfriend got a good laugh and she was very

when she realized that I was turning 30 right away!
