Update for today: Siphoned some sand out (the whole bed is absolutely revolting, I really really
really want to just get rid of it but I keep stopping myself because I know it will cause a large spike) Water was completely brown Still.....*whiny voice* do I really have to keep doing the sand so slow?

(I am very impatient, lol--I know I know nothing good ever happens fast)
Did a 15 gallon WC then realised I had only made 10g of water.

Mixing the other 5 now.
Took out all the rocks and brushed them off in a seperate bucket, then put them back in. Didn't want to do this but I missed way too much crud on them when we moved them firstly (couldn't see them it was dark). One rock stank to high heaven so it went into my `rock quarantine` which is just a container with a powerhead and heater with a blanket on it. (killing off the pest algae from the lr that were in my bc14)
I really wish I could just take the sand out completely. Only thing stopping me is the whole mandarin issue. If I didn't have him though I would be sticking the clowns in someone else`s tank (or selling them) and I would start BB. Have many people kept a mandarin in a BB? Not sure if it really makes a difference or not.....
Didn't think anyone would want to see pics of it but I guess I could post some just for you michika

Gonna make a seperate post for that though, I want advice in this thread and knowing me I will post too many pics and ppl won't read.
Here is the link if you want pics and me rambling
