Personally I think you are doing a good job. Sometimes people on here as in everyday life are annoying (I'm sure myself included at times) and things being said are going to spark emotions. I don't know to many people who haven't crossed the line at some point in their life or at least come a little to close to it. Face it I usually can tell when I have done this is, so I'm sure others can as well. That is why we have mods to keep us in line, kind of like a principal at school but with a better sense of humor
There are of course politer ways to disagree with one another but there are times when you know you could/should of but just don't want to.
