Cactus coral is easy to keep, but it is somewhat brittle, or more delicate then other SPS.

You could also try birdsnest, or digitata.

You might want to try checking out the following books from your local library. They are also pretty cheap on chapters.ca or amazon.ca.

Aquarium Corals; Selection, Husbandry, and Natural History (2001) by Eric H. Borneman
Corals: A Quick Reference Guide (1999) by Julian Sprung

I also heard this is a good book, but haven't yet had the chance to read it myself as it was just recently released.

Book of Coral Propagation: Reef Gardening for Aquarists by Anthony Calfo
