Default live rock pests

-i was reading a couple of weeks ago about a convenient way 2 get rid
rid of ''hitchhikers'' that come on cured live rock-
-get a 5-gallon bucket of saltwater and adjust the SG to 1.035-1.040
-place the live rock in there for about a minute or two, and all the inverts
will immediately evacuate any previous holes and crevaces
-then you sort through the inverts tossing unwanted pests like visible
aiptasia and bristleworms and such, placing useful inverts like hermits
snails, and sea stars seperately- **so did anyone try this method before? cuz it
sounds quite reasonable-
