I found a free floater of my old brown colt coral when I moved my 44g over. It was under the rock out of the light for months, and was fine albeit a little pale.......I stuck it next to a BIG rock, and it attached in no time of course.
This is because I WANTED to try and attach it to a SMALL rock and give it away.
