I'm betting the Petrelli brothers are still around, and will make a reapparance next season. Syler will probably regenerate even given his injuries. Remember Peter survived after having a shard of glass imbedded into his brain and skull.
I liked that the episode somewhat ended and mostly gave closure to the storeline. The preview for volume two was a nice touch.
