Try looking up a plastics/glass supply store around wherever you are. Most places that deal with plexiglass/acrylic should have a scraps bin that you can raid for anywhere from cheap to free. Just call them in advance. Keep in mind that the scraps will be random sizes/thicknesses and that if you want watertight seals, you'll have to finish the edges yourself (which isn't all that hard anyways)
