Default SPS help

Is the skin peeling off the sps?Do a search on rtn.
When you get new corals it is a good idea to dip them in a solution to disinfect them , this also puts a tiny protective coat on them.Such as sea chem dip.
Is this coral new?How old?
Had this happen to a montipora,3" tall,it started at 8:00 am and at 3:00 pm all but the base was gone.It worked from the tip down. After a quick search on web,I decided to frag the part that was left.
I cut it about 2mm below the bleached part.So I was not getting any bleached or rtn.
It survived,as for the rest of the monti it died.In such a short time.
Act quick.
