Are you just setting up this system, or are you replacing a pump?

Don't try to push too much through your overflow to solve your water flow in your tank, you are asking for trouble.

How big is your single drain line bulkhead? I always recommend 2 drain lines, and to only push the gph rating of 1 of them, then you have a backup in case of failure.

How big is your display tank and sump? You might fight with microbubbles if your turnover is too high in your sump.

I know this is just a wtb ad, but you might not need/want that big of a pump. You might be better served with a mag 7 or similar, and plumb a closed loop for added (and safer) water flow. You could one 1/2" return for the sump return, then use the other for the input of a closed loop, then retun via a manifold with loc line for later easy adjustment of waterflow.
