thanks all. I really appreciate the help being offered by all and I will provide an update as time gets closer.
FYI - I have decided to use the sleigh idea because it will permit multiple individuals to assist from the top and bottom. The stairs are ceramic tiles so I will line the plywood bottom with smooth carpet to decrease friction as well as protecting the tiles. I will also strap the tank to the sleigh.
Pokolec - thanks for the offer of your sleigh but I'll build my own because then I can customize it to the exact size of the tank and bring it home with me (i'll need to bring it down 10 stairs when I get home too
) I will reuse the supplies for my stand as well.
Emily - i would love to spend time with some Calgarians but its going to be a dine and dash trip for me.
