I agree with Chad Ruth... I'm sure Bob was just making an observation in general... the renegade that he is... 
Don't stop what you are doing NOR your approach. Remember, there is no "right" way.... just what works for each individual's tank. I've been doing a little reading regarding Zeovit as well, and while I'm certainly not ready to try it yet, I will be monitoring people's results, including yours, so keep us up to date!
