Dory's in Jail.....
I picked up a tiny blue tang last night, saving her from the evil waters in Pet Cetera. She seemed quit healthy as I acclimated her into the tank. Then my blue damsel found her....he immediately began to flash his ridge spikes and attacked her to the point that I could see tiny 1/2 round white scratches. Not wanting to lose my new baby, I manged to net her. I was hoping to catch him and banish him to the sump for a few days, but he's way to fast.
So for now Dory (of course) is in jail in my wife's salad spinner floating in the tank, with a piece of LR. I put a shade over top to protect her from the MH lights. The spinner allows water to flow through and the fish to see each other. The blue damsel is still hanging around and flashing her.
Pics of Dory in Jail.....
Dory ate a bit of Brine shrimp this morning and seems to be happily floating around, no worse for wear.
How long can/should I keep her in here?
Will the Damsel eventually stop picking on her?
Or should I try the bottle trap with some brine shrimp and banish him to the sump for a few weeks? Then he'll be the new guy on the block again.
Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.
