Kittens go fast at the SPCA. It's the older cats that have difficulty finding homes.
Also, not a good idea to let cats roam outdoors. Too many things can happen to them, like becoming roadkill

, taken in by a neighbour who thinks it's a stray, chased and killed by dogs

, and even tortured and killed by twisted kids
Outdoor cats will prey upon baby birds that have just learned to fly. Have seen far too many young robins in the mouths of cats doing what cats normally do

As a bird lover and bird watcher, I see fewer and fewer small birds in the city than I used to
