I was thinking that when they say she was "forced to leave her job" it doesn't necessarily mean she quit. Maybe she stopped showing up and they gave her the boot. Maybe she took some time off and eventually they said "enough is enough, either come back or leave"
Who knows? That would be a bit freaky to me. But be a great story for later
And I'd want free admission to that aquarium for life
