I totally sympathise. All the places like that I pretty much have to sneak away from work, or leave early or take a long lunch or whatever, to get stuff done.
Another place to check is the Glass Guild, up in the NE, and another place I've gotten glass from is Home Solutions. Neither have the hours you're looking for, though.. sorry.
