well they host in SPS corals and clear away a section of tissue to lay eggs on when breeding or whenever it suits them it seems. The last one I had with SPS didn't munch
per se, but the polyps certainly weren't extended very far (probably for fear of being eaten
) and when I removed the goby the polyps returned to normal.
