Well, people in Toronto earn more on average than people in Vancouver. That's why they can afford to pay higher prices.

So its not that Vancouverites are cheap, its just that we don't have as much money as those who live in the Center of the Universe.
The median average family income in Toronto was $63,700 in 2000 whereas the median average family income in Vancouver was only $57,926.
