I am not Azilla but I will ansewer your question. From what I have heard from mine it sounds like clipping toenails.
. Peacock Mantis are Smashers and live in live rock. Spearers live in the sandbed so they are harder to come by. Spearers eat fish and other soft things, Smashers eat crabs, snails, and other crustaceans. Oh ya the shell is empty. I also have an empty Textile Cone snail in my tank.
