My former 65gallon with assorted plants (I lost track of what I had, and how many), and assorted fish. It was my pride and joy for a few years, but it slowly went downhill starting about a year ago. This picture was taken a couple of weeks before I tore it down last December.... so this is pretty much the worse shape my plant tank has ever been in (notice the lowered water level

) . The fish seemed to really like the whole jungle look though, gave them tons of hiding spaces.
At its peak, the tank was running 220watts of PC with
www.ahsupply.com reflectors, 2-3inch bed of flourite with a little bit of onyx sand, a few slate pieces and river rocks, and a pressuried CO2 system with DIY in tank CO2 reactor. It was filtered with an Eheim 2026 Pro canister and a Fluval404 canister, plus the quick filter attached to my CO2 reactor. At its downfall, the PC bulbs were 2-3 years old and noticably faded, I never got around to filling my CO2 tank for 3 months, but surprisingly enough algae never really got a foothold in the tank... whereas at its peak, algae would start spontaneously popping up as soon as the CO2 tank ran out. At its peak, I could keep and grow just about any plant commercially available. My amazon sword even sent a shoot straight out of the water and flowered for a few weeks before finally developing into another baby sword. Other plants that flowered included several of my anubias plants. I had a few riccia covered rocks for a little while... but I gave up on those because they were way too energy intensive to maintain.
