for that price I will just use Oak or Birch 3/4 plywood, man that expensive for a composite wood. when I do use MDF for stuff it is because 3/4" is only 25.00 for a 10X4 sheet. personally I would never use MDF on anything that will have a chance of comming on contact with water even if I am painting it. just to risky
