firefox kicks ass! ive used every browser ever made including beta .7 of netscape and every frickin version of ie. firefox is by far the slickest thing i think ive ever used.
backing up your files (including bookmarks) is always a good idea. i even back up my messanger contact lists. if you want a good alternative to outlook try mozilla thunderbird. it will import all your mail, settings and password, you litterly have nothing to setup.
anyhow.. go opensource.. weeeee
