Sorry for not being clear - actually I meant from having the lights on 24x7 about the fish, not the split (that wouldn't bother fish). Some fish are very sensitive to photoperiod. Wrasses and tangs, at least in my experience, tend to be very tuned to the lights-on / lights-off cycle.
