I would run the return over the back of the tank...

I would run the return over the back of the tank or up through your overflow box and have the return near the top.

If you want to run the baffle system still put it on a closed loop. No worries...

One note on the clowns. I'd stick with either Ocellaris or Percula clowns as most of the other types get larger and are more aggressive. (not a good combo in a 14G nano)
