Well I ended up using reef safe superglue on the outside of the box so there is only one layer of glass seperating the magnets.

Progect37 told me that he couldn't have anything next to his Frog Spawn... Don't remember if he has hammer coral thou... Corals are weird thou, you can't really say for sure about anything.

One more vote for Carbon, a day or two water should be nicely polished. If you run carbon I believe you arn't supposed to keep it in there for more than a week, otherwise it will leech out everything...
