Don't have herpes - found some aiptasia in my old LR. Never had any for years in the old display. I epoxied over some years ago, so only thing I can think of is the little buggers survived all this...

Um, I feel the need to add the fact that the # you achieve from the formula is in ml, IE millilitres. That's why I divided a litre by 1000 at the end :mrgreen:

Muriatic Acid is an impure form of Hydrochloric Acid. I'd recommend against using it on a regular basis to adjust your Alk levels, but sometimes you get those bad buckets of salt, so ... let's use...

Problem solved I didn't want to install a float...

Problem solved
I didn't want to install a float switch that would always be submerged just to have an alarm go off if this ever happens again.
Instead I installed a switch and a flashing 12vdc led....
