I guess I should have worded my question this...
I guess I should have worded my question this way.....Do I need a skimmer capable of handling just the main tank of 55 gallons or do I need a bigger one to compensate for the sump size as well?

Sump/Skimmer Question
I'm planning on converting my 55 gal freshwater to a reef tank this winter. If I set up a 30 to 40 gal sump under it would I need a skimmer to handle 55 gallons or 80 to 90 gallons?

Turbo Snails
Scrubbed a pile of red fuzzy algae of my rocks tonight. Anybody know where I can get a turbo snail or two to take care of it? Maybe a trade of a snail for a small sun coral?

I really wouldn't worry too much about not...
I really wouldn't worry too much about not running one. I took mine off a couple of months ago. I try to do a 25% change every week but sometimes don't get around to it. Not a big deal in my opinion.
