Also if your unit has a back flush- you should do it for 30 mins or so.

300 TDS is really high. If you're in the lower mainland you should be at 8-20 TDS right out of the tap.

The water flow should be

1) sediment
2) carbon
3) RO membrane
4) DI

A PM1 is about $90 and a probe for $40 is $130.
So from a financial standpoint the PM1 and temp probe is cheaper.

I still have had no problems.
