Live rock turning brown

Noticed this gradually over about a week now. All the rock not encrusted with coraline is turning brown. This is a new reef setup with cured LR. Is this normal and or can I be doing something to...

it's been 4 days since my last entry. I think I'v got the heat problem licked. I used a couple of 2X4's to raise the conopy a bit and temp has stabilized @ 76-78

I'm starting to realize however...

well, I can already tell that heat is going to be a problem with this tank. I have 2 Seio 620's and 2 maxi jet 400's. They may be giving off some heat, but I'm sure the main culprit is the Aquapro...

I just got back from the city and placed the rock...

I just got back from the city and placed the rock in my tank. I'll be borrowing my Brother-in-Law's Canon Digital EOS to take pics of the setup thus far tonight.....

So, tomorrow is the big day. I'v had my tank set up for 2 weeks now, and I'm reasonably happy with the temp and water conditions thus far. I'm going into Edmonton this weekend to buy 90lbs of cured...

I'v come to the conclusion that I really should have a sump for my tank. It's an 80gal and is not predrilled, so I'll have to use an overflow, which I don't mind doing.

I recently purchased a 77G tank and plan on setting up a small reef. A few fish, some cleaners and soft corals in about 6 months after adding the live rock. Tank is 22 inches deep to the substate...
