If it's Ick you are trying to get rid of then why not try hyposalinity first ? ... give the fish a freshwater bath then put in the QT tank and slowly drop the salinity to 1.009 ( over a few days )...

They draw in water from the sides and depending on the pump ( pressure rated is best ) they can anywhere from double to as much as quadruple your pump output :eek: :cool:
