green wire to green wire
white wire to white wire
blaick wire to black wire

Is there a chance the colours would be mis-matched?

I have the cord that is attached to the reflector (male end) and the a small 4" cord coming from the ballast (female end). From you're email it seems you suggesting running the small 4" ballast cord...

I was lucky enough to see a pair while snorkling in Thailand, they're colour transistions are amazing - one of the neatest animals I have ever seen. Definitly belongs in the ocean not in a aquarium.
