Final Update

I was going to cut small wood wedges to use as a shim and put them between the stand and the ply until but once I saw how well the weather stipping leveled the tank I did not think it was neccessary....

I dropped about half a tube of silicone on the bottom seal to try and make sure I got the leak.

A freshwater trick when battling green cyano is to use antibiotics.

The antibiotic I used was called Erythromycin, it is generally sold to cure ick and other bacterial infections in you LFS.

So are internal return pumps really that bad? I have a 70 gal and want a bigger sump. This would mean it has to be internal. I figure heat transfer is the biggest problem.
