Diatoms are just part of the "breaking in" cycle of a tank. I noticed when I tore apart and set up my tanks again, only the new rock and substrate was really affected by the diatoms. I'm pretty sure...

Thanks.

My three SW tanks so far all have the 'fuge and sump at the back. I'm not sure how many critters make it through the powerheads/pumps in one piece... I might put my Mantis in there,...

It only took me a couple hours to figure it out. It's not perfect, it's a little quirky, but it really...

I really like my Coralife Super Skimmer. It's the 65 gallon version, and I'm running it HOB on a 26 gallon tank. I've only had a few minor issues, and overall I'm very happy with it. It's going to be...

Most tanks that I've had with black trims usually had the problem of the trim popping off. I really don't feel that the plastic trim adds much support. Granted, my tanks like this were all well under...

I've had a few emerald crabs, and I've had good experiences with them cleaning out the bubble algae. My current crab cleaned out the algae when it was in my 13 gallon nano. I upgraded tanks, but now...

Yup. It's been over a decade. Never had a virus.

Can someone try out these dimensions for me?:

24" x 20" x 18"H

I think 1/4" glass will suffice, but I might go to 3/8" just to be...

I had a bad case of diatoms when I recently set up my new tank, too. My sailfin blenny cleaned off my rocks in a couple days. Get some snails or something to churn the substrate and that will help....

I think so. I've only seen pictures of 'em, and they get mixed up with BTAs, AFAIK.

That would be great.

I hope so. I really like the aipstasia, but something more colourful...

Don't freak out. This is a common nuisance, and it actually helps to clean the tankwater. They tend to sting and kill corals, though, so they're better off in a sump.

Squirt really hot tapwater at...

If you're seriously about to upgrade, and your current fish are small, you could probably throw a third fish in your 10 gallon for the short-term.

I both agree and disagree: I like nanos a...

You don't have enough room for three fish in a 10 gallon. If the tank was bigger, or if you found a new home for the damsel, I'd definitely recommend a second clown.

(I've had the same temptation...

I've got a FOWLR mantis shrimp nano tank. I put aipstasia in it, and it looks pretty good. The aipstasia helps keep the water clean, too. I've heard that mojano anemones are similar (another tank...
