Mine is in sump model but I do have a upgrade kit that can turn this skimmer into an external one. You will just need to drill some holes on the reaction chamber tho.

I bought this tiny guy at December last year. It was like aroud 1 inch long and was very skinny. I feed it as many times as possible a day. I couldn't believe how much this guy has grown...
