Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I was able to pull the piece of live rock out and remove the algae manually. It was interesting because I punctured one of the bulbs and it squirted all over...

I like the new interface
It is nice that you have the ability to move the modules around. The one thing I did notice, that I could not get it to work in Internet Explorer version 9. At work no problem in Firefox.

Apex beta controller firmware
Has anyone updated their apex firmware to the new beta one. it looks like it has some cool features. the one i like is the new web interface with a ip webcam module.

i found some calibration solution
thanks for everyones input. I called around and was able to get a bottle of calibration solution at mf LFS. if anyone else needs some BigAl's has one bottle left...lol.
