What a difference a new bulb makes.
Take a standard CD, silver bottom and look at the light. Cheap man's spectrometer. If you did this at the begining and near the end, maybe you could see the difference.... Just what I heard a guy...

I think check valves are a mechanical items just waiting to fail. I agree that the head loss is substantial, but in my case w/ 4MDQX-SC is still to much flow, so I had to install a recirc line back...
