Yeah, you can get so "Bacter Vital" worked well for my FW setup. It just supplies the system with the bacteria to get it going. It's a better product than "Cycle", if you were closer i'd give you the...

Storing Live Sand
As soon as you disturb the sand you will loose a lot of life. You really can't store live sand, it needs to be at the proper tamp salinity ect.. Just like live rock.

Noisy MH Ballast.
I had the same problem when i first got my ballast. It was a comercial one as well. I took the casing apart and siliconed the hell out of it. Way better, my GF said she could live with it after that....
