Some people have tangs and other such algae eating fish etc that would clean this up no problem. If your not willing to pay $50 thats up to you. Or offer him less in a pm and see if he will do it....

If you going to do the zip-tie method make sure to use the ones with plastic teeth as apposed to the metal.

As well as black as they are UV protected.
