My hand-held TDS meter initally read 1ppm even when my RO/DI unit was brand new. I see 1ppm as my "0ppm". Maybe you should do the same with 2ppm? I can't imagine anything getting past a brand new...

I use a single 3/4" loc-line opposite my overflow. Nothing fancy. I try to keep the plumbing out of the tank now. The Tunze's look big enough. :mrgreen:

Natural sea water is 8dkh so you are pretty close.

The thing you may want to worry about is the slight upwards pH spike...
