overflow
usually when you have 2 holes in the overflow,and i'm assuming the holes are in the bottom of the tank,one is for the return and one is for the drain.in that case i would use a stockman

leaking batteries
clean the terminals with vinegar(for bad corrosion)and then with baking soda and water on a q-tip to neutralize the acid.clean again with clean water and let dry

take a pop bottle and cut the neck off an inch past the curve.add some food into the bottle and replace the top inverted,the shrimp cant get out once it goes in.or you could get an eel or wrasse

shop around on your prices.your birch seems really expensive.i get my birch at rona or windsor for $37 a sheet,mahogany at $50,oak $80.and depends on the type of maple.(all 3/4)again maple does not...
