I manufactured the trim from a product called Sintra it is expanded PVC that comes in a flat sheet so I can CNC it. It also can be welded same as acrylic to give you permanent bonds.

The tank is all 1/2" Acrylic and has euro bracing. A little overkill but I used it for my lid's for the tank a lot easier to do this with.....
