I have a Mag12, and it was quiet for the first...
I have a Mag12, and it was quiet for the first month (submerged ), then got noisy. Put that pad on it..it helped a bit, but is still noisy. I find if I gate it off too much, it gets really noisy....

My Peppermint shrimp surprised me.
