Tank peaked at 89 degrees I have cut back my MH to 6 hours at day, Now before the Mh go on the tank is a 80 degrees. My coral some have browned :( but i have the temp under control now........

Well The way my current is blows sand all over the place so for debris in the main tank wouldn't be much of a problem, probably a few spot where it would collect. but without a sump/skimmer i think...

My understanding of a BB system is that the debris shouldn't not settle on the bottom of the tank. So it will make it's way to the sump where the skimmer will then remove the debris.

Well at least not a whole lot was lost, but still pretty crummy

I think as long as i have a saltwater tank I won't be going on vacation, Seems everytime...

I run my mh for 10hours a day, is was running 12 hours but i cut back because i added actinic lighting, everything is looking great . I run dual 250's 10ks SE on my 75G.

Well I would go by the size of the main tank, the sump is just water, a fuge has water plus macro algea, which really won't add to the bio load, the entire systems bio load is contained in the main...
