I have used Salifert, Elos and API for Kh tests and find that I got similar readings with all three. Since I don't really care to know to the tenth of a degree what my KH is, I've opted to use API...

Zoos, SPS & LPS for sale
I've decided to sell off some of the corals in my tank that aren't doing it for me any more. All of my zoos need to go. They don't seem to grow much in my tank and I need to room for other frags....

If you start to notice shells piling up in a certain area of your tank it would likely be a pistol shrimp. They like to collect building materials for their burrows. However, you have an orange spot...

I voted topless. I had a glass top crack once due to heat from my halides. While this is not the norm, in my case the lights may have been too close to the glass, and it eventually gave way. All of...

That's a pretty drastic change for only 4 months. Some of those large softy colonies would suggest a tank thats a couple of years old already. Nicely done!

Thats the key isn't it? We don't want to take any more of these creatures from their homes so breading them would be awsome for conservation. Plus I've always been partial to captive bread clowns for...

That's what I said only in different words. Not to kick a dead horse, but the skimmer controls its own rate of flow through the body of the skimmer. In which case slower is better for extracting...

I'll have a frisby sized orange cap soon. It's a rescue from a local reefer who isn't on Canreef. Since I have no room for something that size I'll just turn around and sell it. Do you want to let...

I stated that Salifert was the most accurate because of the incriments of measure compared to the other tests. I don't...

Elos are good because they are easier than Salifert, but Salifert are still the most accurate for CA, MG and KH.
